I meant to add how good of you to volunteer!

Thank you! What you are saying is what we saw when we early voted here in Buncombe County. Exactly. People standing quietly, but determined to vote. Politely.

Thank you, dear Jeanne. Your work as a poll worker is so important. Thank you for that, for your optimism.

I really was in awe of your service and dedication to this important process plus everyday you had some fun meeting your co-workers and the voters. Thanks you!

Thank you for doing this important work! I remember taking two year old Penny with me to vote in 2012, right after Silas was born. I said “Let’s go vote for Barack Obama.” And she said, “Will he let me run around in his house???” 😂

It’s great to involve kids in the process of voting if possible!

I have been voting since the 1960’s when at that time the voting age was 21. It was later changed to 18. I grew up in a family that believed it was a responsibility and an honor to be able to vote. I have never doubted our voting system. I do early voting and have already voted. Thank you for being a poll worker.

I worked multiple settings in multiple roles during the six weeks prior to Election 2020. In every setting, everyone respected all steps of the process. People from different parties were respectful of one another. There was not a sign of ill will in the five sites in Buncombe County, one in McDowell County, and one in Yancey County in which I served. It was a good experience. I agree that there was no way to cheat the system that is in place.

Perfect, and spot on. Matches my experience as well. Some tough times ahead, but a core of good people are out there.

Thanks so much, Bill, for the shout-out on your blog about my blog. I appreciate it very much and thanks to you I have gained a few new readers. Still recovering from a very long Election Day which (even though I hoped for some different results in some races)went smoothly and with only positive incidents. There are indeed a core of good people out there.

Thank you for this, Jeanne! I'm praying what you experienced and saw is indicative of most of the people of our country and that the people trying to undermine our country are just very loud and trying to drown us out and scare us.

So encouraging, Jeanne! I hope the poll workers in Georgia and Arizona and Pennsylvania are having such a positive experience! Hopefully the eagle eyes of poll watchers will prevent allegations of fraud.
