Blessings to you as we move forward into the new year.
You may be pondering why I have a post about Santa Claus today since we are half way through January 2023. Santa Claus may need a little help this year… is the title of a stunning photo essay I read a few weeks ago.
Today I am sharing (with her permission) this photo essay by Julie Williams Dixon. I tried to paste her reflection here but for some reason I could not get the post to include the photographs and you really need the photographs to accompany her writing. The best I can do is to put a link to her piece here in my blog:

Sometimes we discover that someone else’s words (and images) seem to share significant heart space with our own. I don’t know Julie personally though I would be honored to name her as a friend. I am certainly a fan. I learned of this essay in the NC Haiku Society’s recent newsletter. What a gift!
So today, please enjoy Julie’s words and photographs and all she has to say and share.
Here is a link to Julie’s website also: https://www.juliedixonphotography.com
I’ll be back next Saturday with one of my own reflections.
Jeanne
Wow what a beautifully written story and it seems there are so many stories just like this one all over the country. Thanks for sharing.
