Remember Your Baptism...

Okay, this is a total self-promotion post so feel free to skip or delete. It is not my usual weekly post which comes out on Saturday morning.

A number of years ago, when I was still a student at Virginia Theological Seminary, I was fortunate that Cowley Publications (sadly, no longer in existence) selected a group of meditations I had written, to publish as a book.

There was a flurry of purchasing activity initially and then, as with many book sales, it all sort of dwindled away. I do get a small royalty from the sale of each book—74 cents from the $ 9.95 purchase price—but I only get paid after a certain number of copies are sold. I am two books short of getting my annual check.

SO I am writing to ask that if you are interested in this book, please consider purchasing now. Ordering from Amazon is probably the easiest but you could also ask your local independent bookstore to order it for you.

It is a nice gift to give someone at baptism or, if you are a clergy person, to use in a group book study. I think the meditations are lovely to read on your own as well—but then of course I think this since I wrote these meditations.

As I said, you can just skip this blog post if this is of zero interest but I thought I would mention it in case you might be interested.
