Jeanne, you hit the spot with this post! We all use tools daily to make life easier, your new "tool" sounds like the perfect solution. This aging is a challenge, but as we are told frequently: "Motion is Lotion!" Good for you!! And, thank you for the inspiration to keep on trekking.
As you have learned, and shared with us, the solution to our pain and suffering is not always pills, surgery, or traction! It is finding the right frame of mind and a simple device that some clever person invented. Dwayne often wears a Velcro and elastic back support device to ease his back pain ( I do, too) and it lets him do things he otherwise could not do.

Jeanne, what a great and inspiring post. I’m so glad you found a solution to your current dilemma. The mantra I keep hearing from doctors, PTs, etc. is, “keep moving!” It’s amazing how fast we can lose strength at our age. That’s a pretty cool scooter thing, too.
Thank you once again for an inspiring and personal story. I can relate to so much that you write about. I sure hope your knee improves and your new device is the perfect solution.
A professor I had in graduate school passed out a syllabus at the beginning of the year with lots of reading and writing assignments. When he heard the groans of the students, he said “yard by yard it’s hard, inch by inch it’s a cinch.” That quote helps me move more slowly through the hard times. Blessings, my friend.
This is just what I need to hear and practice. Thank you!!’ Inch by inch…., I am thinking of the turtle, moving slowly and seeming to never waver, sensing when it is time tomove, to be still and when it is time to return to it’s shell…
Thank you, Jeanne. So glad you found a way to lessen your pain and increase your mobility. ❤️

I love that quote from your professor!
Jeanne, once again your timing and advice is perfect! Thank you for inspiring me to stay on the path. I just began the 70’s decade this month!
Keep up the good work - inch by inch. 😊☮️
